Farmer Oliver: Tumbleweed Scout

Farmer Oliver is 10 years old and one of the most energetic young farmers at Rainbow Road Farm. He is one of the owners of Rainbow Road Farm.

Around the farm he is known as Farmer Oliver or Farmer Tumbleweed Scout, a name that fits his adventurous spirit perfectly.

Oliver loves all the animals at the farm, but the goats have a special place in his heart. He enjoys hugging the animals and spending time with them, whether it is goats, chickens, or even horses. Being a farmer is something Oliver takes seriously, and he works hard to help keep the farm running smoothly.

On any given farm day, Farmer Oliver can be found mucking the corral, feeding the chickens, collecting eggs, watering the animals, cleaning nesting boxes, corralling goats, helping during births, or even taking animals for a walk. While mucking the corral may not be his favorite job, he knows it is important for the health and comfort of the animals, so he does it anyway.

Oliver is adventurous, courageous, fun-loving, and very talkative. He also loves teaching others about farm life. When the Rainbow Road Rangers visit the farm, Oliver enjoys showing them how things work and sharing what he has learned about caring for animals.

You will often spot Farmer Oliver wearing his Tractor Supply hat, farm boots, and sometimes safety glasses while carrying a farming knife or hay hook. He looks every bit like a hardworking young farmer who is ready to help wherever he is needed.

Oliver is very independent and often says, “I can do this, or I’ll do that!” He keeps a close eye on the animals too. When one of the goats starts acting a little bossy, you might hear Oliver call out across the farm, “Proximo, NO!”

One of the funniest moments at Rainbow Road Farm happened when Oliver decided to spray his brother with the hose as if he were washing him off just like one of the animals.

And when Farmer Oliver arrives to greet everyone, he proudly says,

“Hello Rainbow Road Fam, it’s Farmer Oliver here!”
