Farmer Amber aka Farmer Mav
Introducing Farmer Amber, also known around the farm as Farmer Mav, the Co-Founder, Behavioral Health Expert, Psychologist, and Educator of Rainbow Road Farm.
Rainbow Road Farm began from something simple and beautiful. Farmer Amber and Farmer Tabby saw how much joy being around animals brought to Farmer Oliver and Farmer Eli. As a neurodivergent person herself, Farmer Amber also discovered that working with livestock brought a sense of calm, focus, and happiness. From that realization grew the idea for a farm where autistic individuals, neurodivergent people, and marginalized communities could experience the same peace and connection through animals and the earth.
At the farm, Farmer Amber helps manage daily operations and long-term planning. She works closely with Farmer Tabby and the young farmers to make decisions about the farm’s direction. Whether she is planning projects, building things, purchasing supplies, producing educational materials, or tending to the animals, Farmer Amber helps keep Rainbow Road Farm moving forward. She also happily jumps into the daily chores, mucking corrals, organizing supplies, and caring for the animals.
Farmer Amber has a special soft spot for three goats in particular: Mosi, Pascal, and Tessa, who she absolutely adores.
A very funny farm moment happened when Farmer Amber unexpectedly came across the goat Cutie giving birth to baby Clementine. Seeing the newborn still wrapped in a gray, gooey birth sack caught her completely off guard. While the other farmers handled the moment like pros, Farmer Amber looked at the scene and said, “Come on everyone, that is disgusting!” The whole farm burst into laughter, especially Farmer Oliver, who gave her a very knowing side-eye.
Farmer Amber believes deeply that the earth is good for you. Life can be loud and stressful, but being on a farm has a way of quieting the noise. Caring for animals, working with the soil, and watching life grow can bring a kind of peace that is hard to find anywhere else.
Around the farm, you will often see Farmer Amber in her goat roping or Tractor Supply hat, a comfortable hoodie, her rainbow Rainbow Road Farm boots, and her black framed glasses, usually with farm tools nearby and ready for the next project.
And if you hear someone greeting the animals with a warm voice saying,
“Hi babies… Hi Tessa… I love you.”

Farmer Amber is a psychologist, behavioral analyst, educator, and researcher who believes deeply in helping children understand themselves and the world around them. Through Rainbow Road Farm, she hopes children learn that caring for animals, spending time in nature, and working with their hands can bring peace of mind and joy to the heart.
